Projects
- Recurrent Exertional Rhabdomyolysis (RER)
Sam's thesis project is focused on determining the genetic basis of recurrent exertional rhabdomyolysis (RER) in Thoroughbreds and Standardbreds. Additional projects she is involved in include investigation of genetic determinants of gait in Standardbred horses, creation of a fine-scale recombination map for the domestic horse, and assessment of genotype imputation performance between low- and high-density equine SNP arrays.
